6 Ways to Break Out of Your Comfort Zone!

"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone."

While I'm writing this, it makes me think how many times I had been sailing in my "comfort zone" and haven't ever realized that I've been in that familiarity zone for so long. It's almost like an unconscious choice created by patterns and habits that our subconscious mind believes will minimize stress and anxiety.

If we observe around our own environment, we see that many of us are pretty comfortable in our lives - We have a reasonable good income, a nice warm bed to sleep in, fridge full of goodies..and everything along just looks to be floating around just fine and a person in that position can very easily think why would I want to do anything to change this. Its by law, that if your life is not going in one direction, its absolutely must be moving in another direction..and many of us are really just getting by, and this is very common and understandable attitude and may seem to be a very good place to be in, but the problem with this is, once we stop seeking, stretching and risking, we actually stop growing.

Breaking out from this zone is so important to get the real juice of life and to discover the talents you had and never realized.

Below are few ways to step out of the zone which I've learned over the years which I hope you would enjoy reading them too!
 

1. Get Pushed!

Yes, don't be afraid to get pushed. We sometimes don't get moved until we are pushed or stretched. Its important to quit being in the "comfort zone" to discover new talents you never realized you had. I've observed this that every time I've stepped up to a new level its because I was pushed..there was adversity, there were new challenges!

 

2. ACCEPT AND MOVE ON..

The danger of a comfort zone is, it doesn't hurt and it might even feel good. And many could think its a good place to be in, but its not. You are either creating or disintegrating because nothing ever stays the way it is..so accept and step up to reaching your real growth and potentially exciting and rewarding future.

 

3. TUNE UP YOUR HABITS

Habits are created by behaving or continuously doing the same things over and over again till it becomes a part of your nature. Now this can be done in two ways; one way is to be in an automatic mode and just float along with these habits without realizing whether it is helping you grow or drown. Or the other way would be to take control and be aware and shake of those habits which isn't really helping you grow.

 

4. Learn from nature

If we simply look at the nature around us, everything that is "Living" - evolves and grows. We are either growing or disintegrating. Every creature naturally moves or changes the location if the circumstance doesn't allow them to grow or fertile, else they will go extinct.

 

5. Love Yourself!

Loving yourself means having an audacity and courage to jump out of the false comfort that might lead to you to rot.

 

6. Yes, travel!

Whenever human beings are challenged to new environments, they Grow. So many of our self limiting assumptions of 'what we are', or 'what we can be' or what experiences are possible , slowly vanish as we challenge ourselves in new environment. We become tougher to take the courageous leap and have a different perspective with new and fresh thoughts.
